Our new compact, climate-neutral VMS-trailer for urban areas: the VW 1350 HB

EBO van Weel has developed a simpler spin off of its tandem axle VMS-trailers for a climate-neutral use in urban areas. The VW 1350 HB can be operated by a single individual, due to its single axle and reduced weight. With hand operated jacks and hydraulic control of the LED display the VW 1350 HB is made ready for use in an instant. Furthermore the display can be fully rotated, enhancing the visibility.

The VW 1350 HB consists of less components, which results in reduced purchase costs. The solar panels help reduce the maintenance costs of this VMS-trailer. Its compact size and collapsible overrun brake make the VW 1350 HB easy to transport. All of this results in reduced emissions.

The VW 1350 HB is equipped with four solar panels, which are located on top of the screen and on top of the trailer. The LED display of the VW 1350 HB has got an unique lens technology and LED pixels that do not consume energy when they are not in use. This results in an energy reduction of 87% compared to conventional LED displays.Thanks to this configuration the VW 1350 HB is able to be operative with 50% active pixels from April through September without using external energy sources.
